Overview: Some people will find the Oral-B iO9 priced at $ 750.
- Calm down
- Easy to use
- App connectivity.
- Good battery
- AI is small.
- Toothpaste is everywhere.
The Oral-BIO9 finds many things right and represents an advancement in electric toothbrush technology. The use of AI, triple pressure sensors, and multiple oscillation modes / angles are all technically impressive.

* Extremely risky business: Advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence insurance companies.
But the real world value of these promotions is not the same as RRP when you stand in front of your bathroom every morning and evening.
And that’s, after all, the problem: the IoT 9 is just a gadget that combines a battery and a small motor to scrape food off your teeth quickly.
That said, I let you go like using a 50 750 toothbrush, and you can decide if I’m tough or not.
Brushing your teeth with AI.
The use of AI (to help people brush their teeth) was the feature I wanted to test the most. It was a great disaster. IO Marketing promises that “3D tent tracking with AI will monitor the brushing on the front, top and back surfaces of your teeth. It guides you in clean hygiene.”
And while that’s technically true, it’s an extraordinary experience. Once you pair your Io9 with your smartphone, you can see a 3D set of teeth slowly whitening, brushing each of the 12 parts of your teeth.
That’s the theory anyway. The reality is different. The device is frustratingly slow as to which part of your teeth you are brushing, which results in a full workout. I often found that I was brushing the very different parts of my teeth that were shown on the screen, which is why I kept brushing the parts of my teeth for a long time to please the app.
The biggest problem here is the effect that the app gives me on the reliability of the feedback, when I’m brushing normally. How can I trust the app’s data – it says I’m ignoring my lower left outer teeth – when I see where the app is brushing, there’s a misidentification.
Which becomes Oral-B iO9 correct.
There are many things that make iOS 9 right. At the top of this list is how quiet the device is – imagine the difference between sitting in a prop plane and a jet, and you’ll get an idea of what the experience is like. iO9 is smoother, calmer and (as a result) more pleasant than your average toothbrush.
There are some more pleasant little ones.
The first thing I learned, thanks to the red LEDs and the triple pressure sensor, was that I was brushing very hard.
I also learned that I’m a victim of emotional blackmail – the smiling face that appears on the screen as you brush your two-minute target (and less for anything).
Magnetic charging dock is also a pleasure. And the battery lasts about a week – the rechargeable travel case is a tangled affair. It is “rechargeable” in which you can plug it in and charge the brush inside the case. Although not as “rechargeable” as the AirPods case (as I thought).
Which goes wrong.
Brushing with IoT 9 is a messy experience. I admit I’ve never been a toothbrush cleaner, but it’s the next level-pointing to more than one comment from my colleague, “Are you fixing this?”
But there is no need to avoid this price. Oral-BIO 9 is a great toothbrush, offering a technically innovative (and quiet) way to brush food from your teeth and gums. AI technology and the ability to view impressions on your brush through your smartphone is not reliable enough to guarantee a high price tag.
After all, the Oral-BIO9 isn’t 28 times better than a standard electric toothbrush that you can pick up at ٹ 25 in a countdown – making it difficult to recommend this $ 769 toothbrush.
