A man is facing multiple charges after possessing a firearm in a Toa property on Tuesday.
Police and members of the armed criminal squad were spotted in the Angatita Street property around 9:30 a.m. after a man was reported to have a firearm.
There were no reports of injuries.
A police spokesman said the 42-year-old is due to appear in Poriruwa District Court on Wednesday on a number of charges, including counterfeit firearms and illegal weapons.
He said there were no reports of injuries and no evidence that the weapon had been dropped.
