A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Panmore, a suburb of Auckland, last month.
Police were called August 23 to report a fight outside a house on Tripoli Road.
John Tofu, 52, of Iwane Fivona, was found in critical condition with stab wounds and died on the spot.
A 48-year-old man was initially charged with aggravated assault.
He is due to appear in Auckland District Court today on a charge of murder as well as a separate charge of assault, allegedly related to someone else involved in the incident.
