Details of the search operation are still unknown, but it is believed that the alarm went off on Monday evening after a leash was found on Carrier Beach near Marokopa, a coastal town west of Kuwait.
According to comments from locals on a community Facebook page, police are searching for a man and three children who were first seen with Ute, who were found in the swamp by a rising tide.
A nearby resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said about 40 police were involved in the search operation.
Police media center staff could not comment on the operation, confirming that a “small group of people was last seen there over the weekend” was being searched.
