A search and rescue operation has been launched for a missing man and his three young children near a beach on the west coast of the North Island.
Waikato police were told yesterday that the group was last seen on Saturday in Marocopa, west of T. Kuwait, and a search was launched.
The vehicle used by the 37-year-old Otrohanga man was found on the shores of Carrera on Saturday.
The search for the coastal area will continue today, with officers going door-to-door in Marocopa and Caritas.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
“At this stage, family safety is our primary concern and that’s why search and rescue has been activated,” said Senior Detective Sergeant Ross Peterson.
