The identity of the 19-year-old who threatened to kill non-Muslims was kept secret.

The man was arrested in Auckland last week – just days after the Lin Mall terror attack – and appeared in a second court this afternoon.

He is accused of threatening to kill members of the Auckland community who were non-Muslims between July 13 and September 7.

He also faces two charges of providing objectionable publications in August.

He appeared in court today in custody via audio-visual link, and can be seen dressed in full PPE.

Judge Claire Bennett said the suppression could continue until the second court hearing next Thursday.

Details of the police allegations have also been suppressed.
